dopplr.com is a (business) travel planner / community allowing you to see whom of your contacts you might meet during your next trip.
mimoa.eu is a europe-focused platform for modern architecture collecting users´contributions, comments and ratings on their favorite buildings and sites. a nice way to prepare for a city trip!
